ICE arrests suspected member of Tren de Aragua in Denver

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has apprehended Ender Jose Roa Contreras, a 29-year-old Venezuelan national, in Denver on February 19. Roa is suspected of being affiliated with the Tren de Aragua, a known transnational criminal organization.

Roa entered the United States through the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry in El Paso, Texas, on August 11, 2023. Upon entry, he was detained by U.S. Customs and Border Protection and received a notice to appear.

The arrest followed an incident on June 11, 2024, when Roa was found unlawfully possessing a firearm during a traffic stop in Denver. The authorities seized the weapon and issued him a citation.
