Meta AI has launched its services in the Middle East and North Africa, now offering Arabic capabilities. This expansion allows millions of users in the region to access Meta AI for free through popular apps such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.
The service is available in several countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Algeria, Jordan, Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen. Meta AI is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly without requiring downloads or sign-ups. Users can access it by interacting with the blue circle icon present in these apps.
Central to this service is Llama 3.2, Meta's advanced large language model. By tagging @Meta AI in group chats, users can receive real-time suggestions and recommendations for activities like planning vacations. The tool is accessible on any device running the latest app versions without additional costs or subscriptions.
Future updates will introduce advanced features such as simultaneous dubbing for Reels content and AI image editing. A feature called ‘Imagine Me’ will allow users to generate personalized portraits based on photos and prompts.
To celebrate the launch, a content series titled ‘Elevating Every Moment’ will showcase Meta AI's potential through collaborations with regional creators like Yara Boumonsef and Faisal Al Saif. Additionally, an educational series on Meta’s official Meta Arabia page will help users craft effective prompts.
Meta AI currently serves nearly 700 million active monthly users across 42 countries in 13 languages. The company aims to become the most widely used AI assistant by the end of the year.
