Chairman John Moolenaar stated, "The Chinese Communist Party poses a military threat to America and our allies, an economic threat to our companies, and an ideological challenge to freedom and liberty around the world." He further emphasized that over the past two years, the committee has demonstrated how issues such as fentanyl distribution, intellectual property theft, international repression, Taiwan tensions, and trade disputes are interconnected challenges presented by the CCP. Moolenaar assured that "there is more work to do," adding that "the Select Committee will continue to advance policies that strengthen America and defeat the CCP."
