Nebraska Grand Jury returns indictments against multiple defendants across various criminal charges

The federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has issued 33 unsealed indictments against 35 defendants, according to an announcement by Acting United States Attorney Matthew Molsen. These indictments are formal accusations and do not imply guilt; each defendant is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.

Jacob Smith, a 33-year-old from Lincoln, Nebraska, faces charges in a two-count indictment. The first count accuses him of distributing child pornography from August 10, 2024, to January 15, 2025. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence ranging from five to twenty years, along with other penalties. The second count involves possession of child pornography on January 17, 2025.

Jordan Vaughn, aged 34 and residing in Scribner, Nebraska, is charged with three counts. He allegedly produced child pornography between November 1, 2019, and February 4, 2025. This charge carries a potential penalty of fifteen to thirty years' imprisonment if convicted. Additional charges include possession of child pornography and transferring obscene materials to a minor.

Cody Williams from Lincoln is accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm on October 2, 2024. A conviction could lead to up to fifteen years in prison.

Dustin Garcia Santiago and Isabelle Ruth Engel face charges related to marriage fraud between March 23 and March 30, 2020. Both individuals could receive up to five years' imprisonment if found guilty.

Darrell Damme and Jason Wainwright are indicted for conspiracy involving methamphetamine distribution between September and October of last year. Damme faces additional charges related to methamphetamine possession in October.

Sherman R. Wade stands accused of bank robbery and using a firearm during the crime on July 3, 2024. Convictions on these counts carry significant prison terms.
