Apple and Major League Baseball (MLB) have announced the return of "Friday Night Baseball" on Apple TV+ for the 2025 regular season. The weekly doubleheader will be available in 60 countries and regions, featuring two games each week over a span of 25 weeks. This year’s production promises enhanced quality, expert commentary, and no local broadcast restrictions.

The season begins on March 28 with All-Star Adley Rutschman and the Baltimore Orioles facing off against Silver Slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays. The second game will see Juan Soto's New York Mets take on Jose Altuve's Houston Astros.

Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats stated, “We’re thrilled to bring another season of ‘Friday Night Baseball’ to Apple TV+, with top-tier production quality that baseball fans love.”

For this season, broadcast teams include Wayne Randazzo (play-by-play), Dontrelle Willis (analyst), Heidi Watney (sideline reporter), Alex Faust (play-by-play), Ryan Spilborghs (analyst), and Tricia Whitaker (sideline reporter). Hosting duties will be handled by Lauren Gardner, Russell Dorsey, Xavier Scruggs, Siera Santos for select pregame shows, and Rich Waltz for select games.

Produced by MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning team in collaboration with Apple's live sports production team, each game will feature advanced cameras and immersive sound technology. Fans in the U.S. and Canada can also listen to home and away local radio broadcasts during games.

In addition to "Friday Night Baseball," fans can enjoy other MLB-related content on Apple TV+, including live look-ins via the MLB Big Inning whip-around show starting March 27. Other features include Countdown to First Pitch, MLB Daily Recap, MLB This Week, as well as various classic games and highlights.

Apple has also introduced new features like multiview options on Apple TV 4K devices and iPads allowing up to four simultaneous streams. Additionally, Post Play allows viewers to transition into other live games after a studio show or match ends.

Furthermore, a new documentary series titled "Fight For Glory: 2024 World Series" is set to debut on Apple TV+. This series offers an inside look at the New York Yankees' and Los Angeles Dodgers' journey through last year's postseason.

DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS remains the national provider of "Friday Night Baseball" for commercial establishments across the U.S., reaching over 300,000 venues.
