Jason Trimmer, a 47-year-old resident of Lander, Wyoming, has been sentenced to 180 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release. He was charged with possessing with intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. The Rocky Mountain Safe Trails Task Force had been investigating controlled substance trafficking near the Wind River Reservation when they identified Trimmer as a distributor. During an April 2024 traffic stop, officers found controlled substances, including counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine, along with a handgun. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered additional drugs and firearms. Trimmer pleaded guilty in December 2024, and U.S. District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson imposed the sentence on February 27 in Cheyenne.
Elysia Annay Grams from Gillette, Wyoming received a 120-month prison sentence with five years of supervised release for conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. From March to May 2024, Grams conspired to obtain methamphetamine in Colorado for distribution in Wyoming. She was arrested in May near Douglas with over 500 grams of methamphetamine and cash. Grams pleaded guilty later that year and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Kelly H. Rankin on February 20.
Rudy Armando Cuellar from West Valley, Utah was sentenced to 36 months for being a felon in possession of a firearm after being stopped for speeding in June 2023 by the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Officers found cocaine and firearms during their search; one firearm was stolen. Cuellar pleaded guilty in November 2024, and U.S. Chief District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl imposed the sentence on February 19.
Dylan Cameron Houtstra from Grand Rapids, Michigan was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for assault by striking or wounding after an incident at Grand Teton National Park's employee housing in June 2021 where he assaulted a victim while intoxicated.
Jose Gabriel Ingellis-Benitez from Port Saint Lucie, Florida received a sentence of twenty months' imprisonment for assault by strangulation following an argument recorded by the victim at Signal Mountain Lodge's employee housing.
Luis Lopez-Romero from Guanajuato, Mexico will be deported after serving time for illegal reentry into the United States following his arrest by Jackson Police Department on charges related to colliding with an unattended vehicle.
