Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz held a meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman Al Saud in Jeddah. According to Spokesperson Tammy Bruce, the Secretary expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince for hosting discussions aimed at resolving the Ukraine conflict and achieving lasting peace.
During the meeting, they addressed various issues including Yemen and threats to navigation posed by Houthi terrorists, which impact global commerce, American interests, and Saudi citizens and infrastructure. Discussions also covered Syria, focusing on promoting a stable government free from terrorism.
Reconstruction efforts in Gaza were another topic of discussion. The Secretary appreciated the Crown Prince's role in hosting Arab countries and emphasized that any resolution regarding Gaza should exclude Hamas.
