Guy Johnson, a 57-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., has been found guilty by a Superior Court jury for his involvement in a March 2020 homicide. The verdict includes five charges such as second-degree murder while armed. U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr. and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) made the announcement.

The trial was overseen by Superior Court Judge Danya A. Dayson. The jury convicted Johnson on multiple counts: one count each of second-degree murder while armed, assault with intent to kill while armed, unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of possession of a firearm during a crime of violence.

Evidence presented during the trial revealed that on March 25, 2020, at approximately 3:17 a.m., Johnson fired several shots into a white Kia Forte. The vehicle was occupied by Kriston Robinson, aged 28, and another individual who survived the incident without injury. One bullet struck Robinson in the head, resulting in her immediate death.

The investigation was conducted by the Metropolitan Police Department and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia with assistance from former Assistant United States Attorney Gregory Kimak. Assistant United States Attorneys Gregory Evans and Anthony Cocuzza handled the prosecution.
