The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has extended its congratulations to Lori Chavez-DeRemer following her confirmation as the Secretary for the U.S. Department of Labor. NFIB, recognized as a prominent advocate for small businesses across the United States, expressed its support through a statement issued on March 10, 2025.
"Lori Chavez-DeRemer is a small business owner herself and, when in Congress, received NFIB’s Guardian of Small Business award for her voting record on key issues," stated NFIB President Brad Close. "We congratulate her on her confirmation to be the next Secretary for the U.S. Department of Labor."
Close further commented on recent developments within the Department of Labor: "During the Biden Administration, the Department of Labor pushed detrimental big labor-backed policies that hurt small businesses and their employees," he said.
