John Ryan Zajac, a 30-year-old resident of Parkville, Maryland, has confessed to charges related to cocaine and firearms in Martinsburg, West Virginia. Zajac admitted guilt for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Court documents reveal that he had both the firearm and cocaine in Berkeley County.
For the drug charge, Zajac could face up to 20 years in federal prison. The firearms charge carries a potential sentence of up to 15 years. The final sentence will be determined by a federal district court judge after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.
