Cheektowaga man faces charges of attempted sex trafficking and drug possession

A Cheektowaga man, Darryl Lamont Paul, also known as Darryl Lamont, has been arrested and charged with attempted sex trafficking by force, fraud, and coercion, as well as possession with intent to distribute cocaine. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison and could result in a life sentence if convicted. U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced the arrest.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Caitlin M. Higgins is handling the case against Lamont, who has owned NoLimit Entertainment (NLE) for 25 years. NLE provides entertainment services such as nude dancers and topless bartenders for events like stag parties and birthdays. Lamont has maintained a business relationship with Pharoah’s Gentleman’s Club over the years, sharing employees between the two establishments.

According to the criminal complaint, in July 2024, Lamont invited a 19-year-old woman to his residence for an audition with NLE. During this audition, he instructed her to strip naked for inspection. He later invited her to observe at a stag party where dancers engaged in sexual activities.

Lamont arranged for the woman to audition at a local strip club and subsequently took her back to his apartment for "training." There he allegedly forced her to consume cocaine and alcohol while she observed him possessing what appeared to be a large quantity of cocaine. The victim reported that Lamont claimed working for him would be lucrative due to his connections with important people and mentioned knowing her family members' names in an apparent attempt at intimidation.

The victim was required by Lamont to sign a nondisclosure agreement prohibiting disclosure of events at his house or parties. When she expressed discomfort and unwillingness to continue working for NLE, Lamont allegedly threatened that she would not be allowed employment at the strip club if she refused.

Lamont made an initial court appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy on March 14, 2025, where he was held pending a detention hearing scheduled for March 18.

The investigation leading to these charges was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation under Special Agent-in-Charge Matthew Miraglia's direction.

It is important to note that being charged with a crime is merely an accusation; Darryl Lamont Paul is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
