A Hickman, Kentucky man has been charged with federal narcotics and firearms offenses following a criminal complaint and arrest warrant issued this week. Christopher Tyler Wilson, 31, is accused of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky along with Acting Special Agent in Charge A.J. Gibes of the ATF Louisville Field Division, U.S. Postal Inspector in Charge Lesley Allison of the Pittsburgh Division, Special Agent in Charge Rana Saoud of Homeland Security Investigations Nashville, and Special Agent in Charge Jim Scott of the DEA Louisville Field Division.
Court records indicate that between October 20, 2023, and March 11, 2025, Wilson allegedly conspired to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. On March 11, agents obtained a search warrant for two USPS packages addressed to Wilson's residence which contained suspected counterfeit Adderall pills. Upon retrieving the packages from the post office, a firearm was visible in his vehicle; Wilson is prohibited from possessing firearms due to prior felony convictions.
Wilson's previous convictions include first-degree unlawful imprisonment and assault under extreme emotional disturbance on April 22, 2021.
Further searches at Wilson’s residence led to the discovery of more suspected counterfeit Adderall pills, suspected fentanyl pills packaged for sale, suspected Xanax bars, suspected crystal methamphetamine as well as U.S. currency, a money counter, digital scale, empty pistol box with ammunition and a suspected firearm suppressor.
Wilson appeared before a U.S. Magistrate Judge on March 12 where he was ordered detained pending trial. If convicted on these charges he faces up to 20 years imprisonment; sentencing will be determined by considering guidelines alongside statutory factors as there is no parole within federal systems.
The investigation involves multiple agencies including ATF Paducah Satellite Office among others assisted by local law enforcement like Kentucky State Police while prosecution rests with Assistant U.S Attorney Leigh Ann Dycus from Paducah Branch Office.
