"Our economic and national security have been under attack by the Houthis for too long," stated President Trump. He emphasized his commitment to ending this threat through decisive leadership.
The shipping disruptions caused by Houthi attacks have significantly impacted U.S. allies and partners. Since 2023, there have been 174 attacks on U.S. warships and 145 attacks on commercial vessels attributed to the Houthis.
