Berlin man sentenced for intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine

A Berlin man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for drug trafficking offenses. Douglas Gray, 52, received his sentence from U.S. District Court Judge Samantha D. Elliott, following his guilty plea on October 15, 2024, to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine.

Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack stated that Gray was found with "distribution-level quantities of multiple drugs" when apprehended by law enforcement. McCormack emphasized the seriousness of the crime and noted that New Hampshire law enforcement is committed to prosecuting those who sell drugs for personal profit.

Jodi Cohen, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI Boston Division, remarked on Gray's criminal history and the potential danger his actions posed to the community. She affirmed the FBI's commitment to working with partners to prevent illegal drugs from reaching streets.

The investigation into Gray's activities revealed that he visited an automotive shop in Concord known for drug trafficking after hours in 2023. A subsequent search of his vehicle uncovered nearly a pound of methamphetamine, over 200 grams of fentanyl, and over 100 grams of cocaine.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation Major Offender Task Force and New Hampshire State Police, with assistance from the Concord Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Heather A. Cherniske prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.
