Honduran national sentenced for drug distribution charges in San Francisco

Ismail J. Ramsey, U.S. Attorney | U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of California

Henry Jovany Sevilla, a 26-year-old Honduran national, received a 48-month federal prison sentence for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin. U.S. District Judge James Donato delivered the sentence.

Sevilla was initially charged on May 15, 2024, and later on May 30, 2024. In December of the same year, he admitted guilt to one count each of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin. Court documents reveal that on May 14, 2024, officers witnessed Sevilla conducting three drug sales in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Upon arrest, he possessed various quantities of heroin, methamphetamine, and fentanyl.

Following his arrest, Sevilla has been held in custody and will continue to be so post-sentencing. Judge Donato also mandated a three-year supervised release period following the completion of his prison term.

The announcement came from Acting United States Attorney Patrick D. Robbins and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Bob P. Beris.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Yeh handled the prosecution of the case after an investigation by the DEA.
