Keemont Reynolds, a 25-year-old resident of Manhattan, New York, has been sentenced to 51 months in prison. This follows his conviction for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute controlled substances. The conviction came after a four-day jury trial in November 2024.
The announcement was made by United States Attorney John A. Sarcone III, Erin Keegan, Special Agent in Charge of the Buffalo Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), and New York State Police Superintendent Steven G. James.
During the trial, evidence revealed that on November 1, 2023, law enforcement officers stopped a Jeep Grand Cherokee in Malone, New York. Tyrece Franklin was driving the vehicle with Roddrick Ingram as the front passenger and Keemont Reynolds seated in the back. Officers discovered a false compartment within the vehicle's front dash containing approximately 424 grams of methamphetamine, around 564.89 grams of cocaine, about 545.77 grams of cocaine base, and roughly 4.87 grams of heroin and fentanyl. The street value of these drugs in Malone was estimated at $140,000.
After three days of testimony, the jury deliberated for five hours before finding Reynolds guilty of conspiracy but not guilty of possession with intent to distribute controlled substances. Ingram was acquitted of both charges while Franklin had pled guilty earlier and received a sentence of 120 months in prison on January 23, 2025.
Senior United States District Judge Glenn T. Suddaby also imposed a three-year term of supervised release for Reynolds following his prison term.
The case was investigated by HSI and the New York State Police and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Douglas Collyer and Jeffrey Stitt.
