Joses Ric-e Beck, a 37-year-old resident of Ravia, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma made the announcement. Beck was previously convicted on August 12, 2008, in Oklahoma for making lewd or indecent proposals to a child under sixteen and was mandated to register as a sex offender.
According to the indictment, Beck did not fulfill his registration requirements from August 30, 2023, until December 20, 2023. During this period, he failed to update his status while entering, leaving, or residing in Indian country within the Eastern District of Oklahoma.
The investigation leading to this charge was conducted by the United States Marshals Service. The plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. A presentence investigation report has been ordered following Beck's plea.
Beck will remain in custody with the United States Marshals Service until sentencing is completed. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Jessica Bove and Morgan Muzljakovich are representing the United States in this case.
