Fourteen individuals have been charged in a federal indictment related to a drug trafficking conspiracy in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. The charges involve the distribution of methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine. Law enforcement arrested 13 individuals, with eight apprehended on March 21, 2025.
The indictment lists various charges against the defendants. Tanesha M. Turner faces charges including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, kidnapping, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Charles T. Dunson is charged with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and possession of a machine gun. Tre J. Dunn is accused of causing death by using a firearm during a drug trafficking crime.
Other defendants include Nahamani I. Sargent, Byron A. Mason, Adrian J. Bullock, Avery J. Bullock, John M. Whitfield, Aaliyah Hackett, Emorrie J. Dunn, Chancelor R. Walker, D’Ericka Lee, Lamar T. Browning (who remains at large), and Mark C. Marshall.
The operation involved multiple agencies such as the FBI's SWAT teams from Indianapolis, Chicago, and Cincinnati; the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department SWAT; Fishers Police Department SWAT; Drug Enforcement Administration; United States Department of Agriculture; Indiana Capitol Police Department; Indiana Department of Homeland Security; and Johnson County Sheriff’s Department.
Acting U.S. Attorney Childress acknowledged Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bradley A. Blackington and Kelsey Massa for their roles in prosecuting the case.
This investigation is part of Operation Take Back America under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and transnational criminal organizations.
"An indictment or criminal complaint are merely allegations," it was noted that "all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law."
