Acting United States Attorney Matthew R. Molsen announced that a federal Grand Jury in the District of Nebraska has indicted six individuals on charges related to human trafficking. The indictment, which was unsealed on March 21, includes multiple counts against the defendants.

Eduardo Jose Perdomo, Michel Martinez-Gonzalez, and Alfredo Zambrano-Hurtado face two counts of conspiracy to commit human trafficking from December 16, 2024, through January 7, 2025. They are also charged with two counts of sex trafficking minors or by force, fraud, and/or coercion. Sumit Chaudhari, Kavankumar Patel, and Vishal Goswami are charged with two counts of sex trafficking minors or by using force, fraud, or coercion for events alleged to have occurred between January 3 and January 6, 2025.

The charges related to human trafficking carry severe penalties including life imprisonment, a fine of $250,000, lifetime supervised release terms, and special assessments totaling $100 and $5,000. Additionally, Eduardo Jose Perdomo and Michel Martinez-Gonzalez face two counts of child enticement for activities spanning December 16, 2024 to January 6, 2025. Each count carries a potential penalty of up to 30 years in prison along with a $250,000 fine and special assessments amounting to $100 and $50,000.
