Kevyn Bradley Heath, a resident of Rochester, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison for producing and distributing child pornography. This sentence will be followed by ten years of supervised release, as announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick.

Court documents reveal that between November 19, 2023, and December 31, 2023, the 28-year-old engaged in the production of child pornography and distributed it via Discord, an online platform. The offenses involved sexual contact with infant or toddler victims under his care.

Heath pleaded guilty on November 7, 2024, to one count of production of child pornography. His sentencing took place in U.S. District Court before Judge Katherine M. Menendez. Additionally, Heath was ordered to pay $106,000 in restitution.

"Child abusers who commit horrific sex crimes and then document that abuse in pictures and videos are among the most vile offenders we prosecute. This conduct is—in a word—sickening," stated Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa D. Kirkpatrick. "My office will continue to stand up for the victims of sexual abuse and seek only the strongest of sentences against defendants who commit these terrible crimes."

The investigation was conducted by the Rochester Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations as part of Project Safe Childhood. This initiative aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse through coordinated efforts by federal, state, and local resources since its launch in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew D. Forbes prosecuted the case.
