Cromer Food Services, Inc. has initiated a recall of its CFS Cromer Food Service brand Chicken Salad on White Sandwich due to an undeclared milk allergen. The products, identified with UPC codes 31166 and 13172, pose a risk for individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities, potentially leading to serious or life-threatening reactions if consumed.

The affected sandwiches were distributed from December 26, 2024, to March 24, 2025. They were sold mostly in Micro Markets and vending machines throughout Georgia and South Carolina. According to the company, a routine inspection by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on March 25, 2025, highlighted that the product labels omitted milk, an ingredient of the bread used in the sandwiches.

To date, there have been no illness reports related to the recalled products. Cromer Food Services advises customers to return the sandwiches for a complete refund or to discard them. The company can be contacted with any inquiries at 1-800-922-3174, with phone lines available around the clock.

The recall is being conducted with FDA oversight.
