The U.S. Department of Labor has announced a halt to new enrollment at the Penobscot Job Corps Center and the Loring Job Corps Center located in Maine. According to the department, these facilities are currently experiencing ongoing sustainability challenges primarily due to escalating costs.
The department will be conducting thorough evaluations of these centers and other Job Corps facilities in the coming weeks to address these issues.
