Panaderia Salvadorena Inc., based in Providence, RI, has issued a recall for its 14-ounce packages of Quesadilla de Queso bread. The recall is due to the presence of undeclared milk in the product, posing a risk of severe allergic reactions for individuals with milk allergies.

According to the company, the affected "Quesadilla de Queso" products were distributed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts via direct delivery. These products are identified by the clear plastic packaging labeled "Quesadilla de Queso" and come with an expiration date of 06/27/2025 or earlier.

The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH) discovered the issue during an inspection, finding that the packaging did not disclose the inclusion of milk. It only mentioned sour cream and butter. This oversight has been attributed to a temporary breakdown in the company's packaging processes.

To date, there have been no reported illnesses related to this matter. The recall has been executed, and the company is confident that the issue has been resolved.

Customers who purchased the recalled product are advised to return it to the point of purchase for a full refund. For further inquiries, consumers can contact Panaderia Salvadorena Inc. from Monday to Saturday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 401-421-8410.
