U.S. supports Argentina's economic reforms, applauds IMF negotiations

Today, Secretary of the Treasury Scott K.H. Bessent of the United States met with Argentina's President Javier Milei in Buenos Aires. Secretary Bessent expressed the United States' support for President Milei's economic reform initiatives and praised the early steps taken by his government to remove trade barriers with the U.S.

Bessent also acknowledged Argentina's recent successful negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), showing confidence in President Milei's ability to sustain Argentina's economic progress.
