U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has announced the removal of Christopher Alexis Rodriguez Flores, a 24-year-old Salvadoran national, who is wanted for rape against a minor in El Salvador. Rodriguez was deported on April 9 on an ICE Air Operations Charter flight to his home country, where he was handed over to local authorities without incident.

The operation involved coordinated efforts between Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers in San Antonio and ICE ERO El Salvador, as well as the Security Alliance for Fugitive Enforcement taskforce. Speaking on the matter, ICE ERO San Antonio acting Field Office Director Sylvester M. Ortega stated, “This removal exemplifies our commitment to deport illegal aliens who flee their countries after committing crimes. They will find no refuge in the United States.”

Rodriguez was first encountered by U.S. Border Patrol agents near Eagle Pass, Texas, on July 16, 2024. Following his arrest, he was processed for removal. ICE ERO San Antonio took Rodriguez into custody on July 18, 2024, and he was held there pending immigration proceedings. An immigration judge ordered his removal to El Salvador on January 29.

The public is encouraged to report crimes or suspicious activity by contacting the ICE Tip Line at 866-DHS-2-ICE (866-347-2423) or completing the online tip form. Additional information on ICE’s activities in Central Texas can be found by following their updates on X @EROSanAntonio.
