Littleton man given 10-year sentence for cocaine and firearms conspiracy

A Littleton man has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison following his involvement in a conspiracy to traffic cocaine and illegal firearms around the Boston area. Alan Robinson, 26, was handed the sentence by U.S. Senior District Court Judge William G. Young. Upon completion of his prison term, Robinson will face five years of supervised release. Earlier this year, in January, Robinson pleaded guilty to charges including possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, firearms trafficking, and knowingly possessing a firearm to further a drug trafficking crime.

The case revealed Robinson's participation in a controlled sale with a cooperating witness, during which he sold four firearms. Among these were two ghost guns, with one being an assault rifle. Notably, Robinson was aware that the cooperating witness was prohibited from possessing firearms. A subsequent search of Robinson's residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 3.3 kilograms of powdered cocaine and numerous firearms including a ghost gun assault rifle.

The announcement of the sentencing was made by United States Attorney Leah B. Foley, James M. Ferguson, Special Agent in Charge of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Boston Division, and Boston Police Commissioner Michael Cox. Assistance in the case was provided by the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. Prosecuting the case is Assistant U.S. Attorney Luke A. Goldworm of the Major Crimes Unit.
