Isis Lee, a 20-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., has been sentenced to one year and one day in prison. The sentence follows her guilty plea to a charge of attempted assault with a dangerous weapon. The incident occurred in November 2024 when Lee attacked a woman near the Mount Vernon Metro Station.

The plea was made in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in February 2025, and the sentencing was issued by Judge Judith Pipe. According to the prosecution, Lee and several associates followed a couple from the metro station before attacking them near 9th and L Street NW. Lee used pepper spray on the female victim, while another associate threatened the woman's boyfriend with a knife. The couple suffered further assaults until they managed to escape to a nearby restaurant.

During the pursuit, the assailants continued to attack the couple, with Lee caught on surveillance throwing glass bottles at them. The victims were later treated for their injuries at George Washington Hospital, and Lee was apprehended on an arrest warrant after fleeing the scene.

U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin, Jr. and Metropolitan Police Department Chief Pamela Smith announced the sentence. Both officials commended the Metropolitan Police Department for their investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Ariel Lieberman for prosecuting the case.
