On June 10, 2025, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will begin a week-long Global Entry Enrollment Event in Jacksonville, Florida. This event is designed for applicants who have been conditionally approved for the Trusted Traveler Program.
Carlos C. Martel, CBP Miami - Tampa Director of Field Operations, highlighted the popularity and demand for Global Entry interviews. "Global Entry is one of the most popular Trusted Traveler programs," Martel stated. The CBP has prioritized these enrollment events to enhance the travel experience for Americans.
These events help Global Entry applicants in north Florida and nearby regions complete their enrollment process locally. A recent change allows applicants under 18 to avoid the $120 application fee if a parent or guardian is already a Global Entry member or is applying concurrently.
Applicants can book an interview appointment for the Jacksonville event via their Trusted Traveler Portal (TTP) account. The enrollment is scheduled to take place at JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, 9810 August Drive, Jacksonville, FL, from June 10-13 and June 16-18, 2025, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Walk-ins may be entertained if space is available.
Additionally, those who miss this opportunity can still use CBP’s Enrollment on Arrival process, available at participating airports upon returning from abroad.
The Global Entry program, part of the Department of Homeland Security’s initiative, modifies screening for pre-approved members while enhancing security. The program has over 10 million members and is accessible at various U.S. entry points and Preclearance locations globally. Successful applicants also gain TSA PreCheck membership.
Application to Global Entry and similar programs requires pre-approval, involving comprehensive background checks and an interview before enrollment.
CBP, the largest law enforcement organization in the U.S., carries out its border security mission at Ports of Entry. Officers and agriculture specialists screen international travelers and cargo, checking for narcotics, illegal goods, and threats to public safety and economic security.
