Additionally, they are united in the fight against synthetic drugs, aiming to dismantle criminal networks damaging public health.
Economically, the United States and Italy stressed the importance of mutually beneficial trade practices with Europe. They acknowledged the role of information technology in facilitating free enterprise and emphasized the need for non-discriminatory digital services taxation. American investments in AI computing and cloud services in Italy, along with cooperation to bolster the workforce and supply chains, were highlighted as priorities for the digital transformation efforts in the region.
Energy security was another topic of cooperation, targeting the diversification of Italy’s energy sources and promoting U.S. liquefied natural gas exports to Italy.
