U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has initiated a marketing and advertising campaign called "D.C. Transit" in Washington, D.C., and surrounding areas like the Pentagon. The campaign is designed to recruit and hire more law enforcement personnel. It will run from April 7 to June 29, coinciding with peak tourist activities due to events such as the National Cherry Blossom Festival and spring break travel.

Andrea Bright, Assistant Commissioner, Human Resources Management, stated, "Advertising on public transportation will provide CBP a unique opportunity to recruit experienced law enforcement officers. Their background and skills make them a valuable addition to the team, allowing them to easily adapt to the culture of CBP. This enables them to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the agency right away."

Alongside the National Police Week in May, the campaign also aims to show support for law enforcement agencies nationwide. CBP plans to honor fallen officers and recognize their contributions during this period.

The campaign includes advertising placed strategically in high-traffic areas to maximize exposure. This includes 10 wrapped buses, 22 digital billboards, and 15 digital transit shelter locations throughout the region.

CBP, a crucial entity for national security, operates across all 50 states, over 50 countries, and at 328 ports of entry. It is hiring and encourages interested applicants to visit their Careers website or follow them on X @CBPJobs, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

With over 65,000 personnel, CBP is the largest law enforcement organization in the U.S. and the first unified border management agency globally. The agency emphasizes safe and legal travel, trade facilitation, and innovative security measures.
