Brent T. Christensen, the Senior Official carrying out the duties of the Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security, is set to visit Berlin, Brussels, and Mons from April 21 to April 28.
During his visit to Berlin, Christensen will hold discussions with German officials regarding the United States defense industry's role in addressing the defense capability needs of European partners. These discussions will focus on increasing investments and contributions to NATO’s collective defense and security.
In Belgium, Christensen will lead the U.S. delegation at the NATO Special Advisory and Consultative Arms Control, Disarmament, and Non-Proliferation Committee. He is expected to discuss President Trump’s vision related to enhancing the safety of America and its allies, emphasizing the importance of the allies being robust and fully capable partners. Additionally, Christensen will engage with NATO and European Union officials to address security priorities and improve Europe’s defensive capabilities and security cooperation.
