The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has unveiled details regarding The New American Home 2026 (TNAH), set to be showcased at the NAHB International Builders’ Show. This upcoming edition, to be constructed in Winter Park, Florida, marks the 43rd home in the program and the first built by Alair Homes under this initiative.
“This home isn’t just a showcase of the future of home building—it’s a symbol of what’s possible when passion, philanthropy and innovation come together,” said Jason Eichenholz, Ph.D., the owner for whom the home is being built. Eichenholz is matching contributions from manufacturers and suppliers to support the Jonathan’s Landing Foundation, an intentional community aiding adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
NAHB Chairman Buddy Hughes expressed confidence that TNAH 2026 will demonstrate the latest advancements in home building. “Home building professionals can expect to see one of the most innovative show homes ever built when The New American Home 2026 is unveiled,” Hughes stated.
The project is led by Alair Homes Orlando, with Daniel Kennerly and Jim Krantz overseeing its construction. Kennerly highlighted the significance of leading such a project, stating, “It’s about making a real, meaningful impact for the community.” Krantz added, “As a father of a son with autism, this project means everything.”
Alair Homes CEO Rob Cecil emphasized the broader mission behind their construction endeavors: “Alair Homes is about more than just building homes—we build relationships, communities and legacies.”
The home, designed by Michael Wenrich Architects with interior design by Steele Street Studios, will feature an 18-car underground garage, an infinity-edge pool, and smart, sustainable solutions. It aims for top green certifications, including NGBS Emerald and ENERGY STAR. The house will be open for tours during the IBS event from February 17 to 19, 2026.
