U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. recently welcomed Thomas Homan, the White House's Executive Associate Director of Enforcement and Removal Operations, to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. The meeting, which took place on April 16, 2025, aimed to discuss immigration issues, crime, and President Donald J. Trump's initiative titled “Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful.”
During his visit, Homan took the opportunity to brief the office's staff and engage with them on these pressing topics while answering their inquiries. U.S. Attorney Martin stated, “The U.S. Attorney’s Office was honored to welcome Executive Associate Director Homan to our space. We had a productive conversation, he had the opportunity to brief our staff and take their questions, and it was great to have him here.”
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia plays an integral role in managing a broad range of federal crimes, including those associated with violent transnational criminal enterprises. The office serves both Superior Court and District Court as part of its duties.
