Federal authorities have indicted six individuals in Eastern Washington, facing 20 criminal counts linked to drug trafficking and firearms offenses. This development follows a major investigation led by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF), targeting illegal drug networks in the region.
The indictment, announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Washington, stems from an operation executed on April 22, 2025. The operation involved multiple agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Homeland Security Investigations, resulting in the seizure of nine firearms.
Charged individuals include Jose Luis Martinez-Parra, accused of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, and distribution charges. Alexander Martinez-Mendoza and several others face similar charges, with Martinez-Mendoza also accused of distributing significant quantities of fentanyl.
Another defendant, Luis Martin Navarro-Ceballos, has additional charges of carrying a firearm during drug trafficking and allegedly being an alien in possession of a firearm. Maria Zamora-Cuevas, Rosa Zamora, and Triston David Duplichan are facing charges related to methamphetamine and fentanyl distribution.
The individuals were arraigned in Yakima on April 23, 2025. Their case is part of Operation Take Back America, an initiative aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling transnational criminal organizations.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation extend beyond those mentioned, with additional support from the Yakima Police Department, U.S. Marshals Service, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. The prosecution is being led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Benjamin D. Seal.
It is important to note that the indictment is an allegation, and all accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
