Cesar A. Lobo-Ramos, age 38 and a native of Honduras, has pleaded guilty to the charge of illegal re-entry of a removed alien. The case was announced by Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson on April 22, 2025.
Court documents reveal that Lobo-Ramos reentered the United States after his deportation on April 10, 2018. Following an arrest by the Kenner Police Department on November 2, 2023, for resisting arrest and obstruction of police, he came to the attention of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Lobo-Ramos faces a maximum imprisonment term of two years, up to one year of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a mandatory $100 special assessment fee. An additional sentencing enhancement of 20 years is applied due to his prior felony conviction for sexual battery in Jefferson Parish in 2010.
Acting U.S. Attorney Simpson acknowledged the efforts of the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and the Kenner Police Department in investigating the matter. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Carter K.D. Guice, Jr. of the General Crimes Unit.
