New Orleans man sentenced to 288 months for drug and firearm offenses

TRAVIS ENCLADE, a 43-year-old New Orleans resident, has been sentenced to 288 months in prison following his conviction on drug and firearm charges. Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson announced the sentencing on April 15, 2025. ENCLADE was found guilty of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute significant quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, and fentanyl, as well as being a felon in possession of firearms. After serving his prison term, ENCLADE will be on supervised release for five years.

Court documents and evidence presented during the trial revealed that ENCLADE and his co-defendant engaged in drug distribution activities in New Orleans from August through October 12, 2022. During this period, they conducted near-daily drug transactions with customers in the Hollygrove area.

In September 2022, law enforcement identified a stash house on Encampment Street in New Orleans utilized by ENCLADE and the co-defendant. Both made regular, short visits to the house and had key access. A search warrant executed on October 12, 2022, led to the seizure of large quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and heroin, as well as firearms and drug paraphernalia.

This case is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) initiative, which targets high-level drug traffickers, and forms part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) aimed at reducing violent crime and gun violence. The case was investigated by multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI, and local and state police departments. Assistant United States Attorneys Rachal Cassagne and André Jones led the prosecution.
