A recall has been issued for Trader Joe's Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon due to potential milk allergen presence. The recall, involving approximately 500 units, arose after it was discovered that some salads were mistakenly packed with a parmesan cheese crumble packet instead of crispy onions. This undeclared milk allergen prompts concerns for those sensitive or allergic to milk.
"There have been no reported adverse reactions to this product," the release stated, but caution is advised. The affected salad bears a "Use By" date of April 28, 2025, and April 29, 2025. It was distributed to Trader Joe’s stores in several U.S. states including Alabama, Iowa, Illinois, and several others.
Taylor Fresh Foods Illinois produced the product. This recall only affects the specified salad and no other products or brands distributed by Trader Joe's in the United States.
Consumers who bought the affected salads are advised to discard them if allergies are a concern. Customer service is available at (855) 455-0098 for inquiries from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PST.
