Antonio D. Moncrief, a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, has received a prison sentence of 71 months for his involvement in selling fentanyl in Ohio County.
The court hearings revealed that Moncrief, known by the alias “Tone,” was actively involved in the fentanyl trade on Wheeling Island. Law enforcement officials recovered methamphetamine, cocaine, and a total of 107 fentanyl pills during an operation at an apartment on North Front Street connected to Moncrief.
Post-incarceration, Moncrief faces an additional three years under supervised release.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid led the prosecution for the government in this case, while the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, a project supported by HIDTA funding, conducted the investigation. The proceedings took place under the supervision of U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey.
