Louisiana woman sentenced for role in cocaine trafficking conspiracy

On April 29, 2025, Yolanda Tillman was sentenced to 108 months in prison for her role in a drug trafficking conspiracy. The sentencing was conducted by U.S. District Judge Brandon S. Long. Tillman, aged 42 and a resident of Des Allemands, Louisiana, had previously pleaded guilty to charges related to the distribution and possession with intent to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine.

Tillman will also serve four years of supervised release following her prison term and is required to pay a $100 special assessment fee. Court records indicate that Tillman conspired with others to distribute cocaine throughout Lafourche and Terrebonne Parish in Louisiana. The operation involved transporting narcotics from Houston, Texas, to Thibodaux, Louisiana, using wire communications and multiple vehicles.

The case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) operation aimed at dismantling high-level criminal organizations. Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson praised the efforts of various law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation, including the Drug Enforcement Administration and local police departments.

Assistant United States Attorney Stuart Theriot of the Narcotics Unit is handling the prosecution.
