Doro Bush Koch, daughter of Barbara Bush; Alice Yates, CEO of the George & Barbara Bush Foundation; and Judy de Torok from the U.S. Postal Service also participated in emphasizing Mrs. Bush's legacy as a trailblazer in literacy and family values.
The Office of First Lady Melania Trump expressed gratitude to all involved in making the tribute possible, including the White House Historical Association for providing the official portrait for the stamp.
In her speech, Mrs. Trump thanked Doro for introducing her and welcomed attendees back to honor Barbara Bush's life and legacy. She acknowledged Alice Yates' role in supporting literacy through the George & Barbara Bush Foundation.
