United States Attorney David Metcalf announced that Tina Marie Farley, a 49-year-old resident of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison. The sentence was delivered by United States District Court Judge Joshua D. Wolson and includes 10 years of supervised release and $3,000 in restitution. Farley was charged with facilitating, permitting, and participating in the sexual abuse of a minor and manufacturing child pornography.
The charges were brought against Farley in December 2023, and she pleaded guilty in January 2024. According to court documents, from October 2017 over approximately 18 months, Farley facilitated the sexual abuse of a minor by her boyfriend. She also engaged in sexual contact with the minor and documented the abuse through filming and photographing. The victim was between 12 to 13 years old during this period.
U.S. Attorney Metcalf commented on the case stating, "This defendant badly betrayed a child who trusted her, and now must be held to account for that exploitation." He emphasized the emotional harm caused by such crimes and reiterated his office's commitment to prosecuting child predators.
Gabriel Poling, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of FBI Philadelphia, remarked on the severity of crimes involving child exploitation: "Today’s sentencing underscores the FBI and our partners’ commitment to safeguarding children and ensuring that those who harm them will be brought to justice."
The investigation was part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 aimed at combating child sexual exploitation. This case involved collaboration between federal entities like the FBI and local authorities including the Conshohocken Police Department and Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. It is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Meghan Claiborne and Kelly Harrell.
