The Senate Armed Services Committee has taken steps to advance several Department of Defense civilian nominations. This week, the committee voted by roll call to favorably report the nominations of nine individuals for various defense positions.
Mr. Michael P. Cadenazzi, Jr. has been nominated to serve as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy. Vice Admiral Scott W. Pappano, USN is set to become Principal Deputy Administrator at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
Mr. Matthew L. Lohmeier is nominated for Under Secretary of the Air Force, while Mr. Justin P. Overbaugh is up for Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security.
For the role of Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, Mr. Daniel L. Zimmerman has been nominated.
Mr. Anthony J. Tata is slated to be Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness, with Ms. Katherine E. Sutton chosen as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy.
Further nominations include Mr. Michael A. Obadal as Under Secretary of the Army and Mr. Sean D. O’Keefe as Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
Following these actions by the committee, all nominations have been reported directly to the floor.
