Jessica Marie Campbell, a resident of Spiro, Oklahoma, has pleaded guilty to federal drug charges. The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Campbell, aged 43, admitted to distributing methamphetamine. She faces a sentence ranging from five to forty years in prison and could be fined up to $5 million.
The case against Campbell was based on allegations that she distributed 50 grams or more of methamphetamine on June 7, 2023. This substance is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance under federal law.
The investigation leading to Campbell's charges involved multiple agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the District 27 Violent Crime Task Force, and the District 16 Drug Task Force.
Campbell's plea was accepted by U.S. Magistrate Judge D. Edward Snow in Muskogee. A presentence investigation report will be prepared before sentencing is determined by a U.S. District Court Judge who will consider various guidelines and statutory factors.
Following her plea, Campbell was taken into custody by the United States Marshals Service until her sentencing date is set. The prosecution in this case was led by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jordan Howanitz.
