Bradford County man sentenced to over 14 years for child exploitation crime

A Bradford County man, Jay Holloway, aged 37, has been sentenced to 168 months in prison for distributing child pornography. The sentence was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann.

The case began on May 17, 2023, when members of the Pennsylvania State Police and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General executed a search warrant at Holloway's residence. The authorities seized several digital devices including cell phones and computers. A forensic analysis revealed approximately 3,369 images and 965 videos of child pornography stored on these devices. Additionally, it was found that Holloway distributed this material via Telegram, an encrypted messaging app.

The investigation involved Homeland Security Investigations–Philadelphia Division, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section, and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant United States Attorney Tatum Wilson prosecuted the case.

This prosecution is part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. The initiative coordinates federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute offenders while identifying and rescuing victims.
