The affected items include ready-to-eat croissants that are fully baked and frozen, packaged in cases of 24 units for food service. These products have been distributed since March 10, 2025, with production ending on May 7, 2025. They were sold through Superior Food Distributors in Grand Rapids, MI; Carmela Food Distributor in Fraser, MI; Euclid Fish Company in Mentor, OH; and Atlantic Food Distributors in Canton, OH.

The specific products under recall are:

- 2.5oz Chocolate Croissants

- 3.5oz Chocolate Croissants

- 2.5oz Raspberry Croissants

- 3.5oz Raspberry Croissants

- Croissant Buns

The company urges customers to check their inventory and remove any affected products from sale or distribution immediately. Those who possess these items should contact Madeline’s Pâtisserie for replacements with correctly labeled packaging.

Madeline’s Pâtisserie stated: "Out of an abundance of caution and in compliance with food safety regulations, we ask that you immediately check your inventory and remove any affected product from sale or distribution." The company also expressed regret over the situation: "We apologize for the inconvenience and have taken immediate steps to correct the labeling issue to prevent this from happening in the future."
