Kennett McLeod, 45, from Ethete, Wyoming, has been sentenced to over five years in prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. The sentencing includes three years of supervised release. This decision follows a traffic stop on June 12, 2024, by the Wyoming Highway Patrol where a strong marijuana odor led to the discovery of methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana in McLeod's vehicle. McLeod admitted to acquiring large quantities of drugs from Colorado for sale. The case was investigated by the FBI, Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, and Wyoming Highway Patrol.
