Publix recalls baby food pouches due to lead contamination concerns

Publix Super Markets, Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of its GreenWise Pear, Kiwi, Spinach & Pea Baby Food pouches due to concerns over potential lead contamination. The product, produced by Bowman Andros LLC, is distributed across Publix's eight-state operating area and comes in 4-ounce plastic pouches.

The recall follows routine sampling and is conducted with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Maria Brous, Publix Director of Communications, stated, "As part of our commitment to food safety, potentially impacted products have been removed from all store shelves." She also noted that no illnesses have been reported so far.
