Acting United States Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook announced the sentencing of Keynon Frazier, also known as "Green Eyez," a 29-year-old from Shreveport. Frazier received a sentence of 78 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine.
Frazier was found guilty on January 15, 2025, for being a felon in possession of firearms. The incident occurred on April 15, 2024, when officers from the Shreveport Police Department attempted to stop his vehicle in downtown Shreveport. The pursuit ended with Frazier's vehicle crashing into a telephone pole and another car. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers discovered two firearms—a Glock 17 and a Glock 45—on the front passenger floorboard. They also found an expended shell casing stuck within the chamber of the Glock 45 and noted a bullet-size hole in the front driver's side windshield.
Frazier had previous felony convictions for aggravated battery and second-degree robbery, making it illegal for him to possess any firearm or ammunition. He was arrested at the scene.
The case involved investigations by both the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Shreveport Police Department. It was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Aaron Crawford and Cheyenne Wilson.
