The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has expressed approval following the U.S. House of Representatives' passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (H.R. 1). Neil Bradley, Executive Vice President and Chief Policy Officer at the Chamber, issued a statement highlighting the significance of this legislative move.

"The House sent a clear message today—American workers and businesses want and need permanent tax relief. A competitive, pro-growth tax code doesn’t just grow the overall U.S. economy, it raises wages for workers and improves the lives of Americans," said Bradley.

Bradley further noted that "the legislation passed out of the House this morning contains critical measures that support main street businesses, enhance America's global competitiveness, and bolster sustained economic growth." He commended Speaker Johnson for his leadership in ensuring the permanence of President Trump's pro-growth tax reforms and urged lawmakers to continue pushing this effort forward in the Senate.

The Chamber had previously sent a Key Vote Letter to members of the House advocating for swift passage of the bill. For over a year, they have been actively supporting pro-growth tax policy, emphasizing benefits from the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.

A survey conducted by McLaughlin & Associates for the Chamber indicates strong voter support for making tax relief permanent. The Chamber has also engaged with state and local chambers across the country through more than two dozen in-district roundtables to discuss extending these tax provisions.
