Derrico Johnson, Ronald Henderson, Daveon Robinson, and Demarco Robinson have entered guilty pleas for their roles in a series of shootings in Southeast Washington, D.C., according to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro and Chief Pamela Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). The incidents occurred between April 2022 and January 2023.
The four defendants are set to be sentenced on September 12, 2025, by Superior Court Judge Michael Ryan. They admitted to charges of conspiracy to commit murder or armed crime of violence. These charges stem from their involvement with a Henson Ridge-based group known as "Get Back Gang" or "the Z," part of the larger "Fox 5 Gang" associated with recent violence in the area.
Specifically, Derrico Johnson pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed for killing Clayton Marshal and assault with a dangerous weapon for another shooting at Shipley Market on April 12, 2022. Neither victim was believed to be the intended target.
Johnson and Henderson also pleaded guilty to second-degree murder while armed for the killing of Justin Johnson, known as "23 Rackz," on May 26, 2022.
Henderson and Daveon Robinson admitted guilt to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon related to a non-fatal drive-by shooting at Alabama Convenience Store on January 2, 2023.
The plea agreements propose sentences ranging from 19.5 to 23 years for Derrico Johnson; from 18 to 23 years for Ronald Henderson; and from six to ten years for Daveon Robinson. Demarco Robinson will serve his sentence concurrently with a federal firearms case previously adjudicated in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Case Number 23-cr-250.
The investigation is being conducted by MPD along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Assistant U.S. Attorney Ryan Sellinger is prosecuting the case.
